MINICAFÉ

Situated near the Seine in Paris's historical Île Saint-Louis, Minicafé is a compact 7m² café serving good coffee, sans pretention. The owner wanted a brand identity that was catchy yet pared back, with a touch of humor. In 2025, they opened a second location on Rue des Barres, a cobblestoned pedestrain street in the Marais.

The brand centers on a distinctive hand as the primary mark—depicting the gesture of something small as a playful nod to the original café's footprint, while also evoking the "okay" gesture to signal quality and approval. Paired with clean typography and a minimal primary color palette, the identity has resonated strongly since opening, creating a memorable presence that complements the warm, inviting atmosphere fostered by the owner.
